-
- What the original poster was looking for was a VT240/340 emulator. There
- are **LIGHT-YEARS** of differences between the VT220 and VT240. VT240 is
- as big a step up from VT220 as the A4000 is from the A1000.
-
- VT240 terminals handle 400x200 Regis and Sixel color bitmapped graphics,
- with 8 colors. VT340 terminals handle Regis graphics (same resolution
- and color capability as on a VT240), and Sixel graphics at a resolution of
- 800x600 with 16 colors out of 4096. (I recently wrote a simple script
- to view GIFs on a VT340 terminal, and the results are better than on an
- Amiga 3000)
-
- The programs I mentioned for the Mac and PC handle all of the bitmapped
- graphics capabilities of Regis and Sixel. I have yet to see even hints of
- anything for the Amiga that does this.
