- I am pleased to hear about Gold Disk's user support and
- good things about PPage3.0. But sadly Gold Disk are
- badly let down here in the UK by their distributors HBM
- Ltd. I tried to upgrade to PPage3.0 from PPage2.1.
- They have taken several days already, and when I called
- them they said that it would take 1 or 2 weeks to order
- stocks from Gold Disk in USA. How can _distributors_
- let their stocks run so low? I can understand smaller
- dealers keeping low stocks, but HBM are supposedly
- the official UK distributors.
-
- In comparison, I upgraded from DPaint3 to DPaint4 by
- sending in the front page of my manual and a credit
- card no. to Electronic Arts in the UK. I received the
- new package _by_return_of_mail_ ie it could not have
- been any quicker!
- I mentioned this to the casual people at HBM and they
- said `we are not Electronic Arts'!
-
- Maybe Gold Disk should use Electronic Arts to be their
- UK distributors?
-
- BTW I feel it would be helpful to the Amiga community
- for Gold Disk to know this - does anyone know if they
- have an email address?
