- I have a Serial Port 16 Bit SCSI card which is faster than the Acorn
- card and works with a version of TapeFS that Brian Brunswick altered
- for me. It all works fine with a 150 Meg tape drive :-) I could
- post it to Newcastle if anyone wants it (and its ok with Brian). I had
- a Maxtor 200 Meg drive that managed to delevier 1500K per second on
- my card and only 1200K per second on the Acorn card yet the Acorn
- card is over twice the price !
-
- Dunno about support for CD ROM drives though, but can't see why it
- wouldn't work :-) The only thing the Acorn card does that other cards
- can't is, it supports background read ahead write behind.
-
- Oh and before I forget you can have mine for only 90 pounds (I have
- got to find a way of get rid of this Acorn kit !) only 11 months
- old.
