- This is not relevant to the question. The A3010 is fitted with the ARM250
- running at 12MHz, and squeezes 6-7 MIPS out of the processor, rather than
- the 4 MIPS of the 8MHz ARM2. Acorn couldn't have launched any RISC OS 3
- based machine only using an 8Mhz ARM2. It would have been laughed out of
- the marketplace. As it is, the ARM250 seems to be only just acceptable,
- and there is currently no way that it can be speeded up by hardware.
