  20. We are about to start the specification and functional analysis/design 
  21. of a space-oriented real-time communications project.
  22.  
  23. Can anyone offer advice/comments about:
  24. - methodologies (Yourdon/Ward & Mellor, Hatley & Pirbhai, SADT, HOOD)
  25. - tools (Teamwork, ASA, Verilog)
  26. - software development environments (SunOS-oriented, OOD)
  27. - implementation (ADA, C++, OOP)
  28.  
  29. Our initial inclinations have been towards either the SADT or Yourdon/Ward
  30. & Mellor methodologies, towards the corresponding ASA or Teamwork tools,
  31. and towards C++. How well does both approaches handle OOD and OOP, such
  32. as for C++?
  33.
