- To start with let me state that I am a complete novice at this networking
- game. This is to let you know at the level you should pitch your answers, if
- any, to my following query.
-
- Ok, here goes. What sort of set-up, both hardware and software, do I need to
- connect a PC over a TCP/IP network to a 3270 based host. To make things more
- complicated, the PC 3270 emulator needs to be running under Microsoft Windows
- and it needs to be able to interact in some way with other third party Windows
- software. Also, the software should allow multiple sessions.
-
- For example, the PC receives data over the network, the PC without user
- intervention interrogates a local database using the received data, which in
- turn leads to a new request from the PC to the remote machine.
-
- So how easy is it to do this?
-
- Thanks for any pointers,
-
