- Our department presently uses IBM PC LAN Program version 1.34 and would
- like to upgrade all of our PCs to DOS 5.0. However, we learned that
- IBM PC LAN program is only compatible with IBM DOS 5.0 and not with
- MS DOS 5.0. When will the program be compatible with MS DOS 5.0?
- I ask because several vendors (e.g., Everex, HP, and Toshiba) each have
- their own version of MS DOS 5.0. Therefore, we cannot install
- IBM DOS 5.0 on these systems, resulting in those PCs not being able to
- run IBM PC LAN Program. Do you see our problem? We are relying on
- network software that is not compatible with MS DOS, a version that is
- more dominant that IBM's. What can we do? How can anyone persuade IBM
- to make its PC LAN Program compatible with MS DOS 5.0? Does anyone know
- of the email address for the IBM Division responsible for this program?
