  21. We need some help in Japan.

  23. Toshiba has filed an application for a patent in Japan. The patent  
  24. describes an electronic mail system capable of imbedding, delivering,  
  25. and playing back sound files.  We're trying to find publications  
  26. which describe such a system and is out in the public domain.  It  
  27. must predate the Toshiba claim of April 24, 1981.  This will allow  
  28. Canon to file an official objection to the Toshiba application and  
  29. prevent Toshiba from coming after NeXTMail in Japan.  We are trying  
  30. find something in the next week to ten days.
