  15. The Advanced Computing Laboratory of the Computing and Communications
  16. Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory invites applications for a
  17. postdoctoral appointment in research in distributed computing.
  18.  
  19. The Advanced Computing Laboratory, one of two Dept. of Energy High
  20. Performance Computing Research Centers, is a central focus for
  21. technology transfer in advanced computing to industry, academia, and
  22. other national laboratories.  We are supporting an advanced
  23. computational environmental for computational scientists working
  24. together in interdisciplinary teams to solve today's Grand Challenges,
  25. forming the building blocks of tomorrow's computing environment, and
  26. educating others in the tools of the trade.  We are currently seeking
  27. highly qualified Postdoctoral candidates for an aggressive research
  28. program in distributed computing involving high performance networks
  29. (gigabit/sec), large scale parallel machines (64K CM-200, 1024 node
  30. CM-5), and advanced visualization tools.  This environment is
  31. envisioned to support not only Grand Challenges, but provide a
  32. fundamental capability for simulations appropriate to a wide variety
