- Darn, the group got quiet again. Time for another hand grenade ...
-
- Okay, folks, how about that Windows/NT? Judging by the reactions of the
- trade press and the vendors the game is over in operating systems.
- There is a standard OS in your future, and it's built in Washington state,
- and it has it all over Unix or anything else. You will never see the
- innards of it, thank you very much, and no one will care either.
- Oh, and yes, an OS monopoly seems to be fine with everybody. We can
- trust one multi-billion dollar company to look after our interests.
-
- The current deal is hard to pass up: a CD-ROM for just $69.
- you get the os, compiler, library, 7600 pages of documentation.
- I have ordered my CD-ROM. Anybody else out there getting it? Anybody actually
- know something technical one way or another? Have you used it? Have you
- written code for it?
