  13. Darn, the group got quiet again.  Time for another hand grenade ...

  15. Okay, folks, how about that Windows/NT? Judging by the reactions of the
  16. trade press and the vendors the game is over in operating systems. 
  17. There is a standard OS in your future, and it's built in Washington state,
  18. and it has it all over Unix or anything else. You will never see the 
  19. innards of it, thank you very much, and no one will care either. 
  20. Oh, and yes, an OS monopoly seems to be fine with everybody. We can 
  21. trust one multi-billion dollar company to look after our interests.

  23. The current deal is hard to pass up: a CD-ROM for just $69. 
  24. you get the os, compiler, library, 7600 pages of documentation. 
  25. I have ordered my CD-ROM. Anybody else out there getting it? Anybody actually
  26. know something technical one way or another? Have you used it? Have you
  27. written code for it?
