  12. Oh brethren in OS/2,

  14. we had a nasty brownout on our floor yesterday, and it killed my OS/2 
  15. _dead_. I tried everything but couldn't get it up again. So I've spent the 
  16. day re-installing the little sweetness (with all patches and fixes, nicely 
  17. configured program objects, etc. it's taken all day).

  19. Things are all right again EXCEPT that my DeskJet 500 doesn't work 'as 
  20. advertised'. It prints the first page, and then starts to feed out empty 
  21. sheets as many as I put in the tray. Only way to stop it, is to reset the 
  22. printer.

  24. I had this problem (or something very similar) when I installed OS/2 the 
  25. first time. The solution was then to tick the "printer specific" 
  26. box in the printer's driver settings. (Somebody could explain this 'printer 
  27. specific' stuff to me. I'm too stupid for this.) But now it doesn't matter 
  28. what I do, I only get the first page & a lot of blanks.
