- Oh brethren in OS/2,
-
- we had a nasty brownout on our floor yesterday, and it killed my OS/2
- _dead_. I tried everything but couldn't get it up again. So I've spent the
- day re-installing the little sweetness (with all patches and fixes, nicely
- configured program objects, etc. it's taken all day).
-
- Things are all right again EXCEPT that my DeskJet 500 doesn't work 'as
- advertised'. It prints the first page, and then starts to feed out empty
- sheets as many as I put in the tray. Only way to stop it, is to reset the
- printer.
-
- I had this problem (or something very similar) when I installed OS/2 the
- first time. The solution was then to tick the "printer specific"
- box in the printer's driver settings. (Somebody could explain this 'printer
- specific' stuff to me. I'm too stupid for this.) But now it doesn't matter
- what I do, I only get the first page & a lot of blanks.
-
- Any suggestions? Any?
