  13. Okay, I had a problem trying to reset the attributes on several of OS/2's
  14. system files.  So, I thought I'd call IBM's Tech support line and get some
  15. help.  When they finally called me back, I explained that I was trying to
  16. defrag my hard drive, but the "EA DATA. SF" file was about 1meg of clutter.

  18. After explaining to him that Norton Utils, PC Tools, and Xtree all failed
  19. the task, he suggested that I low-level my HD and start from scratch!

  21. What an IDIOT!

  23. Just for fun, I went to a dos prompt and manually used the attrib command.
  24. No problem... Everything defragged just fine...

  26. Anyone really think I should call IBM for assitance?  That's okay, I'll
  27. rely on the newsgroups for my help...

  31. As for IBM... Well, I'll let them low-level their hard drives or something...
  32. BTW, I have an IDE drive (the ones you're NOT supposed to low-level!)
