- Okay, I had a problem trying to reset the attributes on several of OS/2's
- system files. So, I thought I'd call IBM's Tech support line and get some
- help. When they finally called me back, I explained that I was trying to
- defrag my hard drive, but the "EA DATA. SF" file was about 1meg of clutter.
-
- After explaining to him that Norton Utils, PC Tools, and Xtree all failed
- the task, he suggested that I low-level my HD and start from scratch!
-
- What an IDIOT!
-
- Just for fun, I went to a dos prompt and manually used the attrib command.
- No problem... Everything defragged just fine...
-
- Anyone really think I should call IBM for assitance? That's okay, I'll
- rely on the newsgroups for my help...
-
- Thanks to everyone who's helped me out the past few days!
-
- As for IBM... Well, I'll let them low-level their hard drives or something...
- BTW, I have an IDE drive (the ones you're NOT supposed to low-level!)
