- There is a bit of confusion in this thread. There are actually
- two versions of Unix Windows. One is UW/PC v2.02 by Rhys Weatherley,
- the same guy who wrote the version for DOS. Actually, this is
- still the same program, he just added Windows 3.x support. The
- other is UWWin v1.03 by Russ Poffenberger.
- I have used UWWin somewhat. It seems to work quite well seamless,
- but only supports VT52 and ADM31 terminal types. Downloading is
- not yet implemented.
- I just got UW/PC, so I haven't tried it yet. It is supposed
- to support VT52, ADM31, and ANSI terminal types. ASCII and Xmodem
- downloading is possible. UW/PC is also supposed to support some
- of UW Protocol 2, which increases the window managing ability.
- Both authors are currently adding Zmodem and VT100 support. I
- believe they are both working on implementing Protocol 2 support
- as well.
- According to UW/PC documentation, Rhys Weatherley can be
- reached by e-mail rhys@cs.uq.oz.au, and Russ Poffenberger
- by poffen@sj.ate.slb.com. I will take the liberty of sending
- both of them e-mail concerning OS/2 support in future versions
- of their software, and I will post the results when I get them.
- Regards,
