  10. I tried the new tseng4000 patch on Hobbes, but ran into an interesting
  11. problem.  Following the advice of a helpful netter, I created another
  12. directory with the new display.dll and put that directory first int
  13. the libpath statement in my config.sys file.  POOF!  Apparently,
  14. the driver is not compatible with my Diamond Speedstar Plus HiColor
  15. board and my screen is transformed into static.  Since, my screen is
  16. completely illegible, it is impossible to delete the offending
  17. line and I'm forced to re-install OS/2.  I even tried using the
  18. installation disk and disk #1 (typing ESC as recommended by the
  19. FAQ) to get a system prompt, and it does work, BUT my hard drive
  20. is not recognized.

  22. I've already done the re-install, but I sure would be grateful
  23. if someone could clue me into an easier solution for the next
  24. time.
