  13. I have two questions about the ATI card I just purchased and would appreciate
  14. any comments.

  16. 1.  When I used the accompanying diagnostic program ("test") in a DOS full
  17.     screen session, it reported 3 error messages: subsystem (14203), ram
  18.     (14206) and post ram examination (14216) failures.  Is this normal when
  19.     the test is under OS/2?  The self-testing during system boot-up is O.K.,
  20.     however.  Oh, I did run SVGA ON first before the testing.

  22. 2.  I installed the bus mouse coming with the card and set every IO bus to
  23.     16 bit (or auto selection) for power-up settings.  After that, the 
  24.     modem, which used to work with another SVGA card (Zymos), failed to
  25.     respond.  I know this could be due to address or interrupt conflicts
  26.     although OS/2 did not report this kind of error.  Adjusting the 
  27.     switches on the modem to set it from com3 to com1 did not help.  Now,
  28.     the temporary solution to this is to pull out the multi IO card,
  29.     which provides 2 com port, 1 game port and 1 parallel port. Although
  30.     I don't need this IO card now (since I use the bus mouse), I may
  31.     need it for a printer in the future.

  33. BTW, I am very impressed by this ATI card's performance.  The Zymos card is
  34. simply no comparison.
