- After solving my last installation (some of my RAM was bad), I'm now having
- a new problem with installing OS/2. I can get through the Hard Disk Configuration
- but when I get
- to the setup disks (disks 7-18) it freezes -- once on disk 7, another on
- disk 9, and another time on disk 14. It will just be copying the files and
- suddenly will stop. No error message or anything will happen. I've talked to
- IBM and the support person was baffled. He said they'd try to do some research
- and would get back to me.
-
- I have the following setup:
-
- 1) 386/33 with 4 MB RAM (4 1MB SIMMs)
- 2) Maxtor 213 MB IDE HD (C:)
- 3) Plus 105MB Hard Card (D:)
- 4) 5.25" Floppy Drive (A:)
- 5) 3.5" Floppy Drive (B:)
- 6) Paradise VGA Card
- 7) Microsoft Inplus Mouse Card
- 8) Microsoft Mouse (set for interrupt 2)
- 9) SoundBlaster Sound Card (set for IRQ 5)
- 10) NEC Multisync/4D monitor
- 11) HP Deskwriter + printer
-
- I'm currently running DOS 5.0 and am attempting to install OS/2 (from 5.25"
- disks) as a dual boot on C:.
-
- Any suggestions?
