  12. I'm butting head-on into a problem with running Windows on the 
  13. HP Vectra QS/20, of which our department has a lot. After boosting memory 
  14. past 1MB and loading DOS into High Memory Windows behaves irregularly. It 
  15. gets really bad after loading the ethernet drivers and the Novell netware 
  16. shell, until Windows just craps out for no reason at all.

  18. The problem with HIMEM indicates it may be a problem with the A20 gate. Has 
  19. anybody out there upgraded the keyboard controller on a QS/20 to version KF 
  20. as per recommended procedure and gotten relief from the problems that plague 
  21. those of us who have Vectras and other non-compatible IBM compatibles when 
  22. running Windows, especially in complex installations with networks? Anybody 
  23. tried upgrading the BIOS to a more current version and gotten some relief 
  24. from flakiness?
