  14. I found that I had to install 386Max after stacker, (in my config.sys) to 
  15. avoid similar problems -- may not be the same cause, but the "violated
  16. system integrity" message sounds like a 386Max message.

  33.      I wanted to 'double my disk capasity' on an IBM PS/2 model 70 but all I 
  34.    got was a pile of problems... I'm using the computer with MS-Windows 3.1 and
  35.    DOS 5.0. With dos everything works fine, but when I try to start a dos-
  36.    program from windows I just get a 'cannot start application' or 'this
  37.    program has violated system integrity due to an invalid general protection
  38.    fault...' error or the whole thing gets locked.

  40.      I have tried programs like Paradox(works mainly ok), Symphony(sometimes
  41.    gets locked), WordPerfect(Finnish version works ok, UK version gives an
  42.    error every time), Harvard Graphics(works mainly ok, sometimes gives an error).
  43.    There seems to be no logic, some programs just works more often than the
  44.    others...

  46.      The hard disk is 58 MB with two partitions, C:45 MB and D:13 MB. C-drive
  47.    is stacked.
