  37. answered my own question. after reading the post about someone trying to speed
  38. up windows and having no problem with 256 svga, i coppied their config.sys.
  39. omitted my qemm memory manager commands, and used dos's emm and himem. 
  40. reinstalled the trident 800x600 256c driver for 1 meg cards and i have no 
  41. problem.  it may help to note that the problem was a memory address conflict at
  42. B000 that was the comment. when i had qemm5 running. e-mail me if you would like
  43. to know more.
