- There's been a lot of traffic recently with people asking why
- Compu$erve is Microsoft's primary carrier for NT developer support when
- Internet is cheaper, easier to get at, etc, etc.
-
- Since anyone on the Internet can mail CI$ user id xxxxx, yyy by sending
- to "xxxxx.yyy@compuserve.com", is there a Microsoft user id that us
- Internetters can send our questions to and receive a reply from?
-
- Their domain name is "microsoft.com", so try Microsoft's postmaster. I've
- sent mail there before, asking for listings from the infamous building 21.
-
- That would save us the hassle of subscribing the CI$, joining the forum
- and all that junk, while still allowing Microsoft to use all their
- CI$-based support systems.
-
- CI$ won't allow you to post to fora, or to FTP, or anything other than
- send a mail message. Otherwise, you'd be using something for free that
- other people pay money for, and then CI$ would lose money.
-
- Is this a viable suggestion?
-
- Apparently not.
