- Of the major Windows development tools, TPW is the middle of the road,
- really. If you want a good (and fairly powerful) beginning development
- tool, go for Visual BASIC. On the other hand, you can begin with MS-C or
- Borland C++ development and be a) able to reach the widest audience with
- questions (most of the windows world uses C products) and b) have the most
- power of all the tools; however the learning curve for C win development
- is the most hideous. Basically, a lot more support, toolkits, and people
- relate to the C products, and, unfortunately, TPW falls in the middle.
- There seems to be more public support (third party and PD tool[kit]s) for
- VBASIC than for TPW.
