- Be careful. I did this earlier this year, and the results have been
- "interesting".
-
- I bought the Corporate Edition 3.x upgrade for $249. It worked fine,
- though there were some bugs. When I reported the bugs, they were quite
- helpful in getting me new versions that fixed most of the problems, but
- some problems were only going to be fixed in version 4.0.
-
- It turned out that version 4.0 required another $249 upgrade fee (I got
- one copy free, but they still want $500 to upgrade the other two).
- Version 4.0 doesn't work with files generated with the Quick-C version
- of 3.x, so if you've added any of your own code, you get to put it
- back.
-
- Also, I really wouldn't recommend CASE:W over WindowsMaker for a
- beginner. I like CASE:W myself, but mostly because of the advanced
- features.
