  12. OK, it's like this.  I used the  Windows terminal program at
  13. my undergrad inst.  I just dialed in and I could do file
  14. transfers with kermit and everything.

  16. Now I have moved and am using a different system.  I connect
  17. with Crosstalk in DOS at 9600, 2400 baud and there are no 
  18. problems.

  20. However, when I use the terminal program (which is the only
  21. software that I own that does kermit) the characters are
  22. all goofy.  That is, the W looks like a D of sorts, the c looks
  23. like an "o" with 2 dots over it.  It is nearly impossible
  24. to read.  Why is this happening?
