- It's a little hard to answer this without more info...
-
- Did this problem suddenly start, or has it always existed since you
- installed Windows 3.1?
-
- What type of printer? Cartridges? Available memory? Serial/parallel
- connection? Network? PCL or PostScript?
-
- What fonts are installed on your system (TrueType or otherwise)? What
- fonts are present in your printer (built-in or downloaded)?
-
- Is the failure just in the printed image, or is the screen font also
- lost?
-
- What release of the printer driver?
-
- Exactly what character, from what font, and at what size fails? (I'm
- not looking for a complete list of what doesn't work. What's needed
- is a list of environments which *do* fail on your system.)
-
- What application generated the file? Does the problem occur if the
- entire document consists of the single character at <size> points,
- or do other fonts have to be used before the failure occurs? Does
- the same failure occur when you use other applications?
-
- Have you called Microsoft tech support?
