- A small misunderstanding here. UMB_DRVR does _not_ replace SMARTDRV -
- it replaces EMM386 and similar programs which provide _UMBs_ (Upper
- Memory Blocks). It is not a disk cache. (Nor does the plain UMB_DRVR
- provide EMS - with release 5.22 there is a separate driver, UMB_EMS, for
- this purpose.)

- The latest release (to my knowledge) is 5.22, and its docs still say
- "maybe" for micronics. The author doesn't have technical data on
- micronics chips, and so can not do anything about them.
-
- With 5.22 there is a "user-configured" mode, and if you know what these
- UMBs are and what to do with your MMU, you might get it to operate even
- though it doesn't have micronics support per se.
