- The S3 specs, some dos disks, and some other documentation are available
- from S3 for FREE. You just have to call them up and tell them that
- you need the S3 driver development kit. Their number is 408-986-8144.
- The documentation comes with a graphics library which looks very nice.
-
- As soon as I get my machine back together again (hopefully within a week),
- I will be attempting to write the S3 driver. I have a Diamond Stealth
- board, so I will probably get the VESA driver running first, just so I
- can use X. Then I'll start tweaking the code to run on the S3. This will
- be a major undertaking, I'm sure. If anyone is willing to help me with
- the code, I would appreciate it. Could some kind soul out there at least
- point me to the routines which do the line drawing, clipping and bitblt?
- Also, I would like to know how to go about writing the VESA driver.
-
- Respond via email to this posting if you are interested in helping with
- the drivers, or if you can answer any of the above questions.
