  12. The S3 specs, some dos disks, and some other documentation are available
  13. from S3 for FREE.  You just have to call them up and tell them that
  14. you need the S3 driver development kit.  Their number is 408-986-8144.
  15. The documentation comes with a graphics library which looks very nice.

  17. As soon as I get my machine back together again (hopefully within a week),
  18. I will be attempting to write the S3 driver. I have a Diamond Stealth
  19. board, so I will probably get the VESA driver running first, just so I
  20. can use X. Then I'll start tweaking the code to run on the S3. This will
  21. be a major undertaking, I'm sure. If anyone is willing to help me with
  22. the code, I would appreciate it. Could some kind soul out there at least
  23. point me to the routines which do the line drawing, clipping and bitblt?
  24. Also, I would like to know how to go about writing the VESA driver.
