- So they're greedy SOBs are they? Well the way I see it, we can do
- one or more of the following:
-
- 1. Pay the bums for their software,
-
- 2. Try and figure out the workings of their drive ourselves and
- write our own driver,
-
- 3. Find a company who sells tape drives and will give us the
- software (or at least the info we need to put together a driver) and
- jump ship to that company, and/or,
-
- 4. Start a letter writing campaign to CMS politely informing them
- that we'll take our business elsewhere if they're not forthcoming
- with the info we need.
-
- So,
-
- 1. How many CMS owners are there in the Linux community?
-
- 2. Does anyone know of another drive manufacturer we could jump ship
- to?
