  16. This means, that LILO's boot sector has been loaded, but that it isn't
  17. able to load the second stage loader. (It keeps on trying forever.)

  19. I'd suspect a problem with the disk parameters. Please compare the output
  20. of DPARAM.COM and the contents of /etc/lilo/disktab. There could also
  21. problems with the partition offset (also in /etc/lilo/disktab), though
  22. if only this is wrong, it should at least get to the "I" of "LILO" and
  23. crash then.

  25. For the curious: "LIL" means, that the second stage boot loader has been
  26. successfully started and "LILO" indicates, that it has been able to read
  27. the image descriptor sector and is now awaiting keyboard input.
