- There is a file on expo.lcs.mit.edu in the directory /contrib called
- X386modeDB.tar.Z ... it contains timings for a whole raft of monitor/card
- combinations. It also has a section of standard VESA settings with the
- suggestion that you try them first. What worked for me was to find the
- settings in that list for the resolution I wanted at a clock that was close to
- one of the values that startx reported. My monitor (a MAG 14) synchronized
- and I was off.
