  13. Thanks to everyone who answered my original query.  For some reason, if
  14. I append the flag -D 0377 at the end of the uugetty line in my inittab,
  15. everything works as its supposed to.  If I remove the flag, nothing works
  16. as its supposed to.

  18. Therefore, I left the flag and added an entry to my cron to periodically
  19. remove the debug file from /tmp.  If anyone can come up with an
  20. explanation for this, I'd love to hear it.  But, until then, I have dial-in
  21. access to my system.
