  26. This would be a complete waste of disk space.  Not only is there
  27. pboot, which even though it is out of date still modifies images fine,
  28. but there are also many, many shareware hex editors out there.  ZipZap
  29. is one I use every once in a blue moon.

  31. The best solution would be for someone to write a good pboot
  32. replacement for DOS.

  38. I don't think it's exactly what you had in mind, but Lars Wirzenius'
  39. README for the kernel contains some useful suggestions, and I'm sure
  40. he (and Linus) would be open to suggestions on improvement.
