- I've experienced this problem and am working on it. I don't
- have anything yet to report, but I have a few very good ideas
- as to what is causing this problem. I'll let you know the
- status of things when I know more.

- For those of you experiencing this problem, I don't have a good
- temporary solution except to not use anything beyond 0.97.pl1
- until I can come up with something else. I use CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE
- to exit the server and CTRL-C to exit xinit/startx, but I've
- heard reports that this doesn't always work.
