  12. About 3 times out of 5, upon bootup on 0.97pl2, sock_init (when 
  13. intializing the AF_UNIX sockets; I haven't installed the tcpip patches)
  14. hangs the system and I have to reboot. This usually happens about
  15. 15 seconds after sock_init's message appears on the screen; possibly
  16. whatever comes after sock_init (the next message to be displayed if it
  17. _doesn't_ hang is the partition table) is what's actually hanging. 
  18. Has anyone had similar problems? Should we look at this part of the code
  19. to make sure that nothing's wrong with it?

  21. This is a 386sx with 4 megs ram; 213 meg IDE drive partitioned 
  22. with 3 Linux partitions and 1 (small) DOS partition.

  24. I'm gonna upgrade to pl4 in a few minutes if anyone thinks this will
  25. help, tell me.
