  18. I hate to tell you this, but there is no such thing as a
  19. return-receipt-to header.

  21. Well, actually there is, but it was invented by the author of
  22. sendmail, and only sendmail (and some versions of SCO MMDF)
  23. support the the generation of return receipts.  So the only
  24. time you will get a return receipt is when the recipient's
  25. machine is running sendmail.

  27. Of course, through judicious use of the .forward file and mail
  28. filtering programs, the fact that you got a return receipt
  29. doesn't mean anything any way, since the addressee may be
  30. discarding mail from you unseen.
