- Does anyone have plans to build a compiler for Modula-2 or Modula-3
- for systems build around the new ALPHA chip from Digital Equipment Corp.
-
- Well, Modula 3 is developed at DEC Systems Research Laboratories. They
- certainly know about Alpha :-), and have probably seen it before many
- others. They will certainly support Alpha in a timely fashion. The current
- Modula 3 distribution produces intermediate C code but the next version
- (later this year or early next year) will produce native code.
