- I vaguely remember that I could do the following in Elvis 1.3 but now I
- cannot do it in Elvis 1.6. I would like to put the following line in my
- elvis.rc:
-
- map ^V^E :e#^V^M
-
- where ^V denotes control-V (and is not really "visible")
- ^E denotes control-E
- ^M denotes control-M (or carriage return)
-
- The problem is that when I try to edit elvis.rc using Elvis 1.6 the ^M
- never gets saved. BTW, I have already tried using the :mkexrc command.
- Is this a bug or am I just missing something really trivial/obvious?
-
- Thank you all in advance!
