  13.     I would like to know the best prices one can
  14. get for the following 3 modems, I haven't decided which one
  15. yet.  Can somebody enlighten me about $$ and $$/performance?

  17. Zyxel U-1496e (any + here?)
  18. Digicom Scout+
  19. USR Speedster (yes, the one that can be made to bahave like a Courier)
  20.  
  21.     Any unique features that make one better than the others?
  22. Can one usually take advantage of those features at all?
  23. (or what's needed on the receiving end?).  Do they all self-initiating
  24. fall-forward?

  26. FAX capability is not immediately need, but is important that it
  27. can do both send/receive.  Can they do 14.4K fax?

  29.     If it matters, the other end is Zyxel, may change though.
