- The Motorola literature and press releases say 24K as well, as has
- everything I've seen. We even have some at work. It may be a
- confusion between the 24K and the possible 28.8K standard for real
- V.fast. I believe that was one of the concerns of Motorola - that
- their hardware might not be able to handle it without a major hardware
- upgrade if the rate did go that high.
-
- BTW, nothing I've seen about V.fast ensures V.32bis compatability -
- you can negotiate down to it, if both modems have it, but a V.fast
- modem doesn't have to support it from the latest info I've seen,
- although of course nothing is set in concrete. If someone is
- considering the Codex and wants to connect with V.32bis as well
- instead of just doing point to point, that might be something to check
- out - whether it will support that.
