  27. The Motorola literature and press releases say 24K as well, as has
  28. everything I've seen.  We even have some at work.  It may be a
  29. confusion between the 24K and the possible 28.8K standard for real
  30. V.fast.  I believe that was one of the concerns of Motorola - that
  31. their hardware might not be able to handle it without a major hardware
  32. upgrade if the rate did go that high.

  34. BTW, nothing I've seen about V.fast ensures V.32bis compatability -
  35. you can negotiate down to it, if both modems have it, but a V.fast
  36. modem doesn't have to support it from the latest info I've seen,
  37. although of course nothing is set in concrete.  If someone is
  38. considering the Codex and wants to connect with V.32bis as well
  39. instead of just doing point to point, that might be something to check
  40. out - whether it will support that.
