- The call was out of town but nothing I would call "long distance"
- (though it might be, technically). Both the switch there and mine are
- still of the old electro-mechanical type. Anyway, I used to call there
- quite often and never had any trouble, the line has always been fine.
- It also was this time, perfect connect, I used the connection for maybe
- 10-20min -- until the modem fell into a retraining frenzy. Unfortunately
- (but not very suprisingly, eh?) I had the speaker off during this call.
