- The Telebit 3000 is a fine V.32bis modem, but UUCP-g protocol's window size
- is insufficient to capitalize fully on error-corrected, dialup connections as
- fast as 14400 bps. Not only will you find the UUCP-g throughput of the
- Telebit WorldBlazer to be slightly higher thanks to the protocol spoofing that
- makes up for the fact that PEP is essentially a half-duplex protocol, but I
- think that you'll find that most UUCP feeds support PEP. Well, OK, most
- support both... but you'll find some sites that support PEP but not V.32bis,
- and few which support V.32bis but not PEP. In addition, PEP deals much better
- with bad lines.
-
- If you can get your hands on a Telebit WorldBlazer, especially if your
- feed(s) have one, you'll find this the best modem for a UUCP feed. It also
- supports V.32bis, if standards and wide compatibility are a concern.

- Coincidentally, most people who fight for "fairness" would be
- significantly better off under the system they call "fair"...
