  11. Yesterday I posted a message to this group requesting help to get my
  12. modem to reset at the end of a call.

  14. I had several responses suggesting to set DTR to "&D3" to cause a reset
  15. on hangup.  That option isn't documented in my ZyXel manual, but setting
  16. it on my 1496 modem does result in the LCD displaying "DTR-802.1+RST"
  17. which I assume means to reset on hang.

  19. But, with this setting the modem no longer gives response codes (at
  20. least when I do a Uutry) -- my script expects an "OK" at the end of the
  21. command string, but the modem echoes the string without sending the OK.
  22. I have set "display result codes" on and set verbose display.

  24. Setting back to &D2 -- with no other changes -- makes the result codes
  25. work again.

  27. I have ROM version from about March -- I think 4.06.

  29. Can anyone suggest a way to get both a reset on hangup, and result
  30. codes???
