  25. 2) Yes, there is an "S-Register" whose value can be increased so as to
  26. wait
  27. longer before reporting back "no answer." From memory, (I would check your
  28. manual for more info) look at S-7, S-9, and S-10, I think it is one of
  29. those.

  31. 3) Sounds like you are using that clunker program, "QuickLink II." It
  32. would
  33. be much easier to use FaxSTF from STF technologies ($57) and the free
  34. utility called "FaxState" which will enable/disable the fax software
  35. without having to power-cycle to change settings.

  37. FaxSTF is available from MacZone but not from MacConnection, at least not
  38. the last time I checked with them.
