- hello *, (sorry if this is a faq). What modems are the best value for money
- in terms of initial investment and throughput for a leased line connection?
-
- I am thinking that V42(bis) will be necessary but of course there is no need
- for fax capabilities or anything else fancy. The line is supposed to carry
- 19.2 kbps, are there any available 2-wire modems that go that fast across
- the raw data link, or would we have to go with a 4-wire connection to get that
- link speed? The modems are to be installed in PC compatibles, so an "internal"
- design would be a possibility also.
