- It's not so much which will perform better, but if you'll be able to connect
- with V.32bis in the first place. I've had very bad luck in getting V.32 or
- V.32 bis connections between so-called "Third World" countries (what a term...)
- and the U.S., but PEP practically almost works -- even though the effective
- throughput may be much lower than desired.

- Since you'll be doing uucp anyway, the combination of PEP and spoofing should
- do OK.
