- There's at least one rather large problem with this. In many (most?
- all?) European countries, approval from the local PTT is required
- before a modem or similar device may be attached to the phone lines.
- In the UK, the approving body is the BABT, and without their 'green
- sticker', any person attaching a modem is technically running afoul of
- the law and subject to possible fines.
