- throughput you can get without PEP.

- slow. Even PEP was only giving about 500 CPS but the great advantage

- True enough. Note that except for the 300,000 yen ($2,400) T2500L,
- Telebits aren't authorized in Japan and neither are Hayes, or
- USRobotics. Yet these kinds of modems appear on many/most(all?)
- dial-up systems.
