- Hi,
- there is one more card from VideoLogic, a UK based company who is
- about 6000 DM in Germany. They have a board, which can do realtime
- JPEG compression of 25 frames /sec and write it directly to harddisk.
- Then you can also play it back in realtime.
- Resolution was about 640x480 or less in nearly true color. I saw a
- demo on the last Cebit show.
-
- We are going to have a fast framegrabber for the PC, called PC
- Hurricane (TM), which can do 320x240 true color to Extended Memory in
- 25 frames/sec. So if you have 64 MB of RAM, you can store a few
- seconds of video and encode it to MPEG via our Xing MPEG encoder (per
- frame 1.5 seconds)
- The PC Hurricane is 999.-DM and the MPEG encoder is 499 DM.
-
- Have a look at the free MPEG demo for win3.x in
- ftp 130.231.240.17 under pub/MPEG MPEGXING.LZH is the file to
- download.
