- I know, another OS/2 bbs question, but I am looking for something
- specific.
-
- Is there an OS/2 BBS that will do ALL of the following (or real close)?
-
- * Multi-node, preferably with some type of capability of restricting
- access to certain nodes.
- * Ability to run DOS doors.
- * Ability to have board sponsers, that is, give a user enough access
- to be able to control a message and file area, or at least a
- message area.
- * Ability to configure the look and feel would be a definite plus, but
- not really required.
-
- If it matters, I would run the BBS under OS/2 2.0. And yes, I am
- looking for an OS/2 BBS, not DOS, not Windows, not UNIX. Those other
- options are just not 1) feasible, or 2) not good enough. I need
- access to my machine while the BBS is running (and windows just
- doesn't cut it, Deqview won't let me run Windows programs with out
- major drawbacks, and UNIX won't let me run dos doors, that is the
- UNIX's I can afford won't (i.e., Linux))..
-
- The one exception would be a DOS bbs that works fairly well in an
- OS/2 DOS window(s) with the above abililties. One I have seen that
- had all of these except the multi-node capability is Aftershock. The
- multi-node is pretty important, since I would like to give my board
- sponsers access to a private node. And I like to be able to log in
- locally whenever I want.
