- ub 2.0.5 is available via ftp from sgigate.sgi.com (192.82.208.1).
- Log in as the user 'anonymous', and retreive the file pub/aub/aub.2.0.3.shar.
-
- aub 2.0.5 contains the following fixes from aub 2.0.4:
-
-
- PATCH #5 (v2.0.5)
-
- -- Code introduced in 2.0.4 was too restrictive. Some decodable
- binaries contain more than exactly 61 characters per line.
- Relaxed the error checking somewhat.
- -- Fixed bug that didn't break anything until 2.0.4, when the
- restrictive code was added.
- -- Now mapping subject lines to lower case internally to improve
- recognition abilities.
-
-
- aub is intended for use in newsgroups to which binaries are posted
- exclusively. When run, it accesses news articles via either a disk-based
- news spool directory, or via an NNTP news server, determines whether or not
- any new binaries have appeared in selected newsgroups since the last time
- it was run, and if so, retrieves, organizes and decodes them, depositing them
- in a configurable location. This process requires no human intervention.
- aub is a perl script.
-
- Followups directed to alt.sources.d.
