  13. The call for papers for a conference on functional programming
  14. languages intrigued me. What is a functional programming language and
  15. what differentiates it from a dis-functional language? I guess I am not
  16. familiar with the terminology.  My curiousity is genuine. Any definition
  17. would be appreciated.
